Text of Interview with Villu Tamme on the street in Tallin by Yleisradio, Finland, 1990:

How old are you? -Twenty seven.

How many times have you been arrested in the USSR for your appearance? -On average, about once or twice a week for about six years, so about 300 to 600 times.

Do you prefer a black beret [of the anarchists] to a helmet [of the military]? -Yeah, because the band rides motorcycles, and I have a black beret.[He shows it]

Would you take up arms to defend your Fatherland? -I personally don't use weapons.

Last week it was Vilnius, now Riga,[referring to the Soviet suppression of nationalist risings in those cities] will it be Tallinn next Sunday? -Well, quite possible.

How do you live? -Quite like a bourgeois, in a big apartment.

How much is the rent? -about 35 rubles-it's pretty cheap.

Is Perestroika still current? -No, there's a kind of "good night Perestroika" happening.

Where would you rather be now? -uhh...right here! [in Tallinn]
